Reverend Rob Leischner
Rob is a native Kansan, though he’s lived in Texas most of his life. He graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in music (percussion) and also earned his Master of Divinity degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Rob was ordained by Grace Presbytery in July of 2001 and has been serving St. Andrew’s Dallas since June 2008. He previously served St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Shreveport, LA and also as stated supply at the Presbyterian Church of Lake Travis, near Austin, TX. Prior to entering seminary, Rob was a professional percussionist and songwriter in the Dallas area, having released two solo CDs and performed on various recordings. He continues to perform, write, and record music for fun. He’s been married to Brenda for over 18 years and has three children: Calvin, Jack, and Sloan.
Suzanne Anderson has been the Music Director at St. Andrew’s since 2001. She was the grant writer on St. Andrew’s 2001 Worship Renewal Grant awarded from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. Since that time, Suzanne and the St. Andrew’s chancel choir have worked to spread the joy of singing global, gospel, Taize, contemporary and traditional sacred music to our congregation and East Dallas community. While a student at the University of Texas-Austin, Suzanne studied piano with Mary Robbins. Before coming to Dallas, Suzanne was the choir director/organist for Hyde Park Presbyterian Church in Austin. In her “day job,” Suzanne works as a civil rights attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ruby Carrasco has been with St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church since 2007. When people contact the church office, they are bound to be greeted with her big smile and a friendly hello! Ruby is active in our Guatemala mission (plus, she is an excellent translator!), and she’s also currently on the Board of Directors for our English Language Ministry. Ruby enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
